Ratings methodology

Last updated: June 8, 2026

How SportsEdge24 rates sports betting sites and scores analyst picks — transparently and consistently.

How ratings are built

Each sportsbook receives scores across several weighted categories. Category scores combine into an overall rating from 1 to 5. We re-review providers periodically and when material changes occur (odds quality, licensing, incidents).

What we assess

  • Odds value — pricing and margins across major markets (match result, totals, handicaps).
  • Security & trust — track record, payout reliability, licensing, and incident history.
  • Market depth — sports and leagues covered, in-play options, and bet types available.
  • Regulation & availability — licensing, verification requirements, and supported regions.
  • Promotions — welcome offers and ongoing promotions, including fair terms and realistic wagering requirements.
  • User experience — platform quality, onboarding, deposit/withdrawal options, and support.

How analyst picks are scored

Every published pick is recorded with its market, stated reasoning, and the odds at publication time. After the match, picks are settled automatically against the real result (win / loss / push), and each analyst's running win rate, ROI, and units are published openly. Nothing is edited after the fact.

Data sources

We use a combination of bookmaker-published data, live odds and fixture data from third-party sports data providers, public regulatory records, and hands-on assessment. Live figures can change; ratings reflect our assessment at the time of review.

Independence

Ratings are independent of any commercial relationship. Affiliate partnerships never affect scores or rankings — see our disclosure and editorial policy.

Feedback

Think a rating is wrong or out of date? Tell us — we review all substantiated feedback.
