Dana White predicts McGregor-Holloway rematch to break UFC gate record
UFC president expects the fight to surpass the $21.8 million record set at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

Dana White has predicted that Conor McGregor's rematch with Max Holloway at UFC 329 will break the promotion's all-time gate record. The current record of $21.8 million was set by the UFC Noche event at Las Vegas' Sphere in 2024.
McGregor, who has not fought in five years since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021, will return to face Holloway in a rematch of their 2013 bout. White noted that tickets sold rapidly upon release, indicating massive demand.
McGregor's preparation and mindset
The 37-year-old former two-weight champion has taken extra precautions to avoid further injuries. He said he now works backward from worst-case scenarios to ensure he has responses to potential setbacks, including limb breaks, during the fight.
The event is expected to generate global interest, with McGregor remaining the UFC's most commercially successful star. The previous gate record held by UFC Noche is likely to be surpassed, according to White.
