Beau Greaves earns first PDC Tour seeding after six months
The 22-year-old was seeded for Players Championship 22 after Luke Humphries withdrew.

Beau Greaves has been seeded for a PDC Players Championship event for the first time, just six months after joining the professional tour. The 22-year-old was promoted to a seeded position for Wednesday’s Players Championship 22 in Wigan following the withdrawal of 2024 world champion Luke Humphries.
Greaves, a three-time WDF World Champion, made history earlier this year by becoming the first woman to win a PDC ranking title when she defeated Michael Smith in the final of Players Championship 11. She also became the first woman to hit a nine-dart finish on the PDC ProTour, achieving the feat against Mensur Suljovic in the sixth round of the 2026 Players Championship series.
What she achieved
Despite the milestone seeding, Greaves’ run at Players Championship 22 was brief. She lost 6-1 to world number 31 Ritchie Edhouse in the first round. However, her overall progress on the tour has been remarkable, highlighted by her victory over former world champion Gary Anderson en route to the ranking title in April.
- First woman to win a PDC ranking title (Players Championship 11)
- First woman to hit a nine-dart finish on the PDC ProTour
- Reached last 64 of the 2025 UK Open
- Currently ranked 78th in PDC World Rankings, 53rd in ProTour Rankings
- Runner-up at the 2025 World Youth Championship
What’s next
Greaves will have another opportunity for success at Players Championship 23 in Leicester next month. The series continues across the UK, Netherlands and Germany, culminating with the Players Championship Finals at Butlin’s Minehead Resort in November. The next major on the PDC calendar is the World Matchplay in Blackpool from July 18-26.
Greaves has already shown she can compete with the sport’s elite. After her win over Smith, darts pundit Laura Turner told talkSPORT that Greaves is “a threat to absolutely anyone and everyone.” With her rapid rise, many expect her to challenge for a major title soon.
