Yaya Toure Appointed Head Coach of Slovan Bratislava
Former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure takes his first managerial role at Slovak champions Slovan Bratislava.

Yaya Toure has been named head coach of Slovan Bratislava, the Slovakian club announced on Saturday. The 43-year-old Ivorian takes his first managerial role after previously serving as an assistant coach at various clubs and with the Saudi Arabian national team.
Toure spent time as an assistant to Roberto Mancini in Saudi Arabia and previously worked with Tottenham's academy, Standard Liege, and clubs in Russia and Ukraine. As a player, he won three Premier League titles with Manchester City and the Champions League with Barcelona.
Speaking after his appointment, Toure said: "I'm very happy and excited. I want to build on what my predecessor achieved while bringing something new. Soccer is everything to me, and I love challenges. I can't wait to work with the players."
Toure replaces Vladimir Weiss, who stepped down after five years to manage the Slovakian national team. Weiss led Slovan to their eighth consecutive Slovak league title, securing a spot in next season's Champions League. Toure will now prepare the 16-time Slovak champions for their European campaign.
