What's Changed for The Hundred in 2026: New Trophy, Team Names and Investors

The Hundred returns for its 2026 season with several notable changes, including a new combined men's and women's trophy, fresh team names, and significant overseas investment. The competition runs from July 21 to August 16, live on Sky Sports.

The most significant innovation is a combined franchise trophy, awarded to the team that performs best across both the men's and women's competitions. This is in addition to the individual men's and women's titles.

How the Combined Trophy Works

Every match win — whether in the group stage, eliminator, or final — will earn four points. A franchise's men's and women's points totals are added together for a combined score. Bonus points are available for teams that top the league table and advance directly to the final, avoiding the eliminator.

Investments and Rebrands

All eight teams now have overseas investors. Notable deals include the Ambani family's Reliance Industries taking a 49% stake in the former Oval Invincibles, now renamed MI London. Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly's Cain International acquired the same stake in Trent Rockets. Three teams have new names, and London Spirit's kit now features a nod to MCC colours.
