Phil Jones leaves Blackburn Rovers after six months in coaching role
The former Manchester United defender departs Ewood Park to pursue a new opportunity.

Phil Jones has left Blackburn Rovers after just six months in his first senior coaching role, the Championship club confirmed on Monday.
The 34-year-old former Manchester United and England defender returned to Blackburn in February as part of Michael O'Neill's coaching staff. O'Neill departed in May to focus on his role as Northern Ireland manager.
In a statement, Blackburn said: "Phil's passion for Blackburn Rovers was evident throughout his time back at the club. While we are naturally disappointed to see him leave, we respect his decision to continue developing his coaching career."
Jones shared a personal message on Instagram, writing: "Returning to Blackburn was something I'd always hoped I'd get the chance to do. I've loved being back and have enjoyed every moment."
Jones has been linked with a move to Championship rivals Sheffield United, where manager Chris Wilder is reportedly reshaping his coaching team.
