Mexico's 2026 World Cup kit features Aztec-inspired pattern

Mexico have revealed their home kit for the 2026 World Cup, featuring a pattern inspired by Aztec culture and the Piedra del Sol (Sun Stone). The design also nods to the kit worn by Mexico during the 1998 World Cup in France.

The green shirt includes red, blue and white details that represent the other host nations (United States and Canada). The phrase 'Somos Mexico' is printed on the back of the neck, meaning 'We are Mexico'.

The kit debuted in a 0-0 friendly against Uruguay on November 15, 2024. Mexico are undefeated when wearing it, recording wins over Iceland, Ghana, Australia and Serbia, as well as draws against Portugal and Belgium.

World Cup opening match

Mexico will open the 2026 World Cup on June 11 against South Africa at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. They also face South Korea on June 19 and Czechia on June 25 in Group A.
