Madison Keys wins third Eastbourne title with straight-sets victory
American beats Tatjana Maria 7-5 6-4 to join Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova as three-time champion.

Madison Keys claimed her third Eastbourne title on Saturday, defeating Germany's Tatjana Maria 7-5 6-4 in the final of the WTA 500 grass-court event.
The 31-year-old American joins Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova as the only players to have won the women's singles tournament three or more times. Keys first triumphed in Eastbourne in 2014 — her first WTA title — and added a second in 2023.
Match summary
Keys used her powerful serve and aggressive net play to keep Maria under pressure. She secured an early break in the first set, and despite a brief lapse with two double faults while serving for the set, she broke back immediately and closed out the set on her fifth opportunity. In the second set, Keys broke for 4-3 and served out the match without difficulty, converting her first championship point.
- Final score: 7-5, 6-4 in favor of Keys
- 11th career WTA title for Keys, who won the Australian Open in 2025
- Keys did not drop a set all week in Eastbourne
- It was her fifth consecutive tour final victory
Next up for both players is Wimbledon. Keys will face compatriot Kayla Day in the first round, while Maria — a 2022 semi-finalist — starts against Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva.
Other grass-court action
In the Bad Homburg final, Karolina Muchova won the title after Naomi Osaka retired injured. Osaka, who was playing her first grass-court final, lost the first set 6-1 and was down 1-0 in the second before retiring with an ankle injury. The victory gives Muchova her second title of the year and lifts her back into the world top 10.
